Wet N' Wild Haul

Today I went to walgreens and OH MY they had soo much nail polish. They have set up for christmas and had sets of nail polishes all over the beauty department. I was in HEAVEN! I however am pretty cheap so I waltzed my way over to the  Wet N' Wild Wild Shine collection because those polishes are only .99 cents a piece. I ended up buying six of them. There was another one that I wish I had gotten while I was there so I may find myself back there tomorrow lol. Anyways here's what I ended up purchasing:

Dreamy Poppy
French White Creme
Clear Nail Protector
Red Red
Wild Card
Sunny Side Up

This is my first haul and possibly my last because usually when I buy polishes I buy them one at a time lol. Hope you guys are all having a great weekend!

Leopard Print Nails

I have posted pictures of my leopard print nails in a past blog entry. I didn't have any type of special brush or anything really and said I would attempt it again after I had the correct supplies needed to do it. Here is my old leopard nail art post if you would like to do a comparison lol. These nails in my opinion turned out SO much better than last time I did this lol.

I also reversed the colors. In my last post my nails were brown with gold dots. I like this version much better! More realistic to me lol. What do you all think?

Spider Nail Art

I went to walmart lastnight and came across some painting brushes.. I figured I could try them out as nail art brushes lol. I don't know how long they will last seeing as how they weren't made for the use of nail polish, but they worked out decent. I mean, they weren't the greatest, but I still was able to do a little bit more detail than I normally would be able to lol. I painted a spider on my ring finger for halloween and used the brushes for it and here's how it turned out:

It definitely could have turned out better I think if I had brushes ment for nail art lol. I still think it turned out alright though. I hope everyone had a great halloween!

Needle Marbling

I've come to the conclusion that I need to do more nail art. Hence the name of my blog "nail art epicness" lol. So, I decided to give needle marbling a try and let me tell you! By far the hardest thing I have attempted lol. I guess it turned out alright but the patterns are not all the same. Anyways here's how it turned out:

So very hard! Definitely need to practice more and who knows maybe I will become a pro! lol.

Half Moon Manicure

Hey guys! I've never tried half moon nails before so I decided to give it a try the other day. In my opinion they turned out pretty well! I did however mess up my ring finger when I was peeling off the nail sticker. Also, I wanted to do a giveaway soon.. I wanted to know whether you guys would like nail polish or a gift card? The gift card won't be to anywhere special. It would be either to walmart or walgreens. So please let me know!

Question of the day: Have you ever tried half moon nails? Do you like them? Why or why not?

The Nightmare Before Christmas Nail Art

I'm not the greatest at nail art, but I am practicing so I can hopefully get better lol. I don't have the proper tools either.. I think if I did have them I still wouldn't be the greatest, but I feel my work would defiitely look somewhat better lol. I came across a blog who was entering OPI's nail polish giveaway and she did The Nightmare Before Christmas as her inspiration. I however forget who's blog I saw it on so if you know please tell me so I can credit her for the idea! Anyways, I currently don't have any q-tips so my cuticles are a bit of a mess until I can get to the store to buy some. Here is what I came up with:

I know it's not the greatest, but hey I tried lol! I hope I can get to the store soon and pick up some brushes and dotting tools as it would probably make nail art soo much easier then using the actual polish brushes and toothpicks lol. I know I'm not the only one who is confident with nail art so I was thinking I might make a 30 day challenge for beginner nail art? What do you think? I don't know how many people would be up for that, but it was a thought lol.

Wet N' Wild: Night Prowl

Today's swatch is from Wet N' Wild it's called Night Prowl. I saw this on Livy Lu Lu's blog and just HAD to have it! lol. It was only .99 cents, but unfortunately I think I picked up a bad bottle because when I applied it it was all goopy =[ It did however dry pretty fast for the condition it was in. I applied two coats because the first coat was pretty shear. I also added a top coat because as on Livy Lu Lu's blog she stated the polish was kinda of rough due to the glitter. Unfortunately my top coat didn't help much because it was still rough as you can see in the pictures. This polish is has a black base with purple glitter. These pictures were taken in artificial light with a flash.

I'm thinking I'm going to get a new bottle as it was only .99 cents and want to re-swatch it. Anyways that leaves me with the question of the day which is: Do you own this color? What do you think if it?

Pure Ice: Glow In The Dark

Hey everyone! Today I have a quick post for ya! It's from Pure Ice and it's a glow in the dark polish conveniently named Glow In The Dark lol. I found this the other day at my local walgreens. They also had a black light top coat that obviously glows when you're under a black light, but seeing as how I won't be around a black light anytime soon I went with the glow in the dark polish. It said to apply just two coats, but I went with three for some reason lol. The glow time sucked though and I had to be quick with snapping a few pictures. I can't really complain as it was only $1.99 but here is what I managed to get pictures of:

Question of today is: Do you have a glow in the dark polish? If so what brand?

Wet N' Wild: Gray's Anatomy

Hey guys! Today's swatch is a swatch from Wet N' Wild's Fasy Dry collection called Gray's Anatomy and is a duo chrome. I must admit. I loved the color in the bottle, but hated it on my nails lol. I applied four coats and honestly I think I could have used one more as it was not very opaque in person. Anyways here are the swatches:

Question for today is: Do you own this color? Do you like it? Why or why not?

Leopard Nail Art!

Ok, it's not the best job ever but in my defense I did it with regular crappy polish brushes and in the dark lol. I wanted to give leopard nails a try and this was my first time doing it. So don't be too harsh on me! lol. Anyways here's my attempt at leopard print nails:

Question for today is: Have you tried leopard print nail art?

Nubar: Reclaim

Hey guys! Yesterday I mentioned I would be posting about the Nubar Reclaim nail polish I won. I was so ecstatic to win this because this polish is a holo polish and I had been looking all over for this type of polish, but have had no luck, so I was stoked when I won! I have never owned a bottle of Nubar polish either. As soon as I applied this I was in LOVE. The formula went on smoothy, I loved the brush and I didn't need a top coat because the polish was glossy all by itself. I wore this for about three days before even started chipping. I don't think I have been so in amazed by a nail polish like I am with this one lol. Anyways take a look! This is only two coats. (Click on the pictures to enlarge them.)

Question for today is: Do you own a holo nail polish? Do you like it?

Sinful Colors: Unicorn

Todays swatch is from Sinful Colors. It's called Unicorn. Unicorn is a pale yellow. The first coat I applied was really shear. I ended up doing three coats, but realize I really should have done four because there are lighter spots on my nail. This is the first time I have used this polish and I honestly don't know how I feel about it. I only have one other yellow nail polish and its brighter (I have yet to wear that one) It might be the color of this yellow or just yellow in general that I don't like on my nails lol.

Question of the day: What do you think of yellow nail polish? I don't think I have ever seen anyone I know wear yellow polish lol.

Sally Hansen Cuticle Massage Cream Review

Hey everybody! Today I have a review for you! A while back I asked you what I could do for my dried out cuticles. Some of you suggested cuticle oil and to keep my hands moisturized. My boyfriend and I went to walmart and he bought me some cuticle massage cream by Sally Hansen. I notice it working after just one use! I was more than pleased! But there are some things I didn't like so I made a list of pros and cons.

Pros:
Works great
Easy To Carry

Cons:
Greasy
Time Consuming

Would I suggest this to a friend? Absolutely!

Here's the container it comes in:

It says that this is a cream, but to me cream is more of a thick lotion and if it had bee a cream it would be so much more less time consuming.

This massage cream has definitely helped improve my nasty dried out cuticles. I would definitely recommend trying this if you are having trouble with your cuticles.

Question of the day is: Have you tried Sally Hansen Massage Cream? If you have did you like it? Why or Why not?

Help Me Name My Franken!

As you all know I made my first Franken nail polish a few days ago and wasn't too excited about the outcome, but I made another Franken polish shortly after. I'm actually proud of this one and like it! I however cannot come up with a name to call it! It's somewhat of a dark shimmery green with silver sparkles! It really reminds me of a fantasy place, but at the same time it reminds me of a jungle lol. And Fantasy Jungle just sounds stupid to me! lol. What do you think I should name it? Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated! Anyways, I am wearing two coats and the formula went on so smoothly I thought I was in heaven! I was greatly shocked and soo very very pleased with this franken because this one actually turned out how I had invinsioned it in my head! lol. Take a look!

You can really see the shimmery goodness on my pointer finger in this picture! =]

Here are the polishes I used:

Question of the day: What should I name this Franken?

Rimmel London: Red Carpet

As promised I swatched something other than Sinful Colors lol. And today I have a guest! My daughter! lol. I need to give my nails some time to breathe so I swatched her nails instead of mine lol. I painted her nails while she was sleeping and keep in mind that she is 11 months old so the imperfections had to stay seeing as how if I were to go at them with a q-tip she would have woken up lol. She is wearing two coats of Rimmel London's Red Carpet. It's a pretty bright red and I absolutley love this color!

Question of the day: Do you own any polishes from Rimmel London? If so do you like them?
