Are You Guilty Of This?

So I noticed with the cheaper polishes people test them out. I guess I could see why people do it, but at the same time it annoys me lol. I can see if you want to test out to see what the color looks like when it dries or how opaque the color is, but for me personally I have to try it out on my nails to see if I like it (don't worry I'm talking about after I purchase it lol). I also noticed people don't do this with more expensive brands. I'm kinda confused as to why?

So are you guilty of this? Don't worry I won't judge! lol.

Nope! I think that's really annoying too. If you like the way it looks in the bottle, just get it. You'll probably like it on your nails, too.

i hate it too! mostly because i'm scared of getting one that's been opened 389844 times :{ i've seen it done with more expensive brands like essie, but only at places like target and walgreens or walmart where you can't be seen doing it. :|

I don't do it but I have seen people do it. I have seen people that test the more expensive ones but they test them on their fingers.

Oh No!!! I would never do that because I wouldn't want to buy a already open bottle.

I've always hated this! I think it goes on more with the cheaper polishes because there isn't much monitoring going on. I know when I went to the Cosmetic Market, which is nicer brands of polish, and a nice place in general, they had pieces of tape for you to test it on.

hahahaha I am not guilty of it at all.. but I am guilty of opening it up and looking at the color. lol I never test it on my nails though either at the store like Ive seen alot of people do lol --- I definitely dont want to walk around with a color swipe on one nail haha

I awarded you on my blog! Check it out when you can girl!

XO!

I agree with Eat.Sleep.Polish that it's more common with lower end brands because there's less sales staff watching, but I've seen it happen at Ulta with pricey brands, too--one of the HRH bottles I saw during the Butter London sale yesterday had not only been opened, but someone had painted a stripe on the cap to test the color. So impolite!

@Eat.Sleep.Polish I hate it too!! lol

@LC I have opened the bottles too, but never have I swiped it on anything and I wouldn't want to walk around with one swipe on my nail either lol.

@KarenD Totally agree with you! Impolite!

Im so guilty, I've done this before once! Im sorry! D: But that was before I was a nail polish fanatic, and didn't know what it meant to other nail polish fanatics lol. And now it bugs me too, when I see it. I think it looks a mess! Thats why I always get the nail polish bottle all the way in the back so I dont get one that hasnt been opened.

@Kirshten LOL! I love your confession! I litterally laughed out loud!!

Weird, I never see this down here! I'm such a freak about cosmetic cleanliness and whatnot I just don't see a need to open up product in the stores... but I get why people do. :D

@Nail Nerd I know doesn't it bother you! I don't even like the testers they put out in the store cause other people use them lol.
